Think
Make space for the question behind the question. Step outside the immediate pressure of a problem and examine the assumptions, structures and forces underneath it.
Connect
Bring different ways of seeing into the same room. Convene people across politics, economics, technology, science, philanthropy and civil society. The aim isn’t consensus; it’s a better understanding of the problem and a wider sense of what might be possible.
Reframe
When the old frame isn’t working, change the frame. Sometimes we don’t need a better answer to the existing question. We need a different question.
Explore
Follow an idea far enough to see where it leads. Create space for emerging ideas, test propositions, connect seemingly unrelated developments and ask: what if?
Lead
Let good thinking lead somewhere. When an idea is ready, turn it into a proposition, paper, program, convening, research agenda, coalition or experiment. Make something of it.
